Common reasons for a visit

What people come in for

These are the reasons people tell us they book. Acupuncture and herbs are one part of care, and they sit beside your doctor's.

  • Back, neck and shoulders

Stiffness from desks, driving, lifting and long hours on your feet is the reason we hear most.

  • Headaches and jaw tension

People who clench or carry tension at the base of the skull come in to feel looser. A sudden, severe headache needs a doctor first.

  • Knees, hips and joints

Stairs, long shifts and long walks leave joints sore. Acupuncture can sit beside the plan your doctor or physical therapist has.

  • Stress and sleep

A busy season or a bad night can leave people wound up. Acupuncture does not replace counseling or medicine.

  • Digestion and appetite

Some people come in when their stomach is unsettled. Bring any diagnosis from your doctor, and we work alongside it.

  • Feeling run down in the cold months

Many families ask about a formula for the change of season. We write one only after we have your list of medicines.

What this does not do

It does not replace your doctor, your medicines or your therapist, and we do not prescribe medicine or ask you to stop yours. It does not work the same way for everyone, and we do not promise a result.

When to see a doctor instead

See your doctor or an urgent care clinic first for chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, a sudden severe headache, or a fever with a stiff neck. In an emergency, call 911.
